I am thrilled to welcome you to an exceptional performance by the Western Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Great Concerts of Great Classical Symphonies, as part of the 2024 Hills Shire Orange Blossom Festival (OBF).

OBF is a cherished occasion heralding the arrival of spring and providing an opportunity for our community to unite and celebrate the excellence of The Hills Shire.

It’s a time when our Council proudly recognises the outstanding contributions of our talented, generous, and dedicated residents who continue to shape our region for the better.

I am particularly delighted by the participation of our very own Western Sydney Symphony Orchestra in this festival.

You are in for an amazing experience, with a captivating lineup of musical acts performed by 50 musicians throughout the evening.

Under the esteemed leadership of Dr Brian Chapto Koo, the Western Sydney Symphony Orchestra has already achieved remarkable feats, and I am certain that this group holds great promise for the future.

I extend my gratitude to Dr Koo and the incredibly talented musicians performing tonight for their unwavering commitment to delivering awe-inspiring performances time and again.

I also wish to express my sincere appreciation to the event organisers and all those who have contributed to making tonight’s performance possible.

Thank you.

Mayor of The Hills Shire,

Dr Peter Gangemi
